Media Minister Visits Qatar, Heads Saudi Delegation at Media Committee Meeting

Doha: Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary paid an official visit to Qatar, where he co-chaired, alongside Chairman of the Qatar Media Corporation Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer Al Thani, the meeting of the Media Committee emanating from the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the visit, Al-Dossary held a session of talks with Sheikh Hamad, focusing on boosting media cooperation and exchanging expertise between the two countries.

The minister also visited the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, where he was briefed on Qatar’s notable experiences and practices in managing major sporting events, particularly the distinguished media operations during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The visit aimed to draw insights from these experiences as part of the Kingdom’s preparations to host the 2034 World Cup.

Al-Dossary also met with several Qatari officials and media professionals to bolster communication and cooperation between the two countries in the media sector.

He emphasized the deep-rooted brotherly and historical ties between Saudi Arabia and Qatar and the vital role of media in strengthening these relations and advancing cooperation across various media fields in line with the aspirations of the leaderships and peoples of both nations.
