Mawani Adds MIX (Milaha India Gulf Express) Shipping Service in Dammam

Dammam: The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) announced the addition of the new MIX (Milaha India Gulf Express) shipping service, operated by MILAHA, to King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam. The move is set to enhance import and export activity at the port, in line with a vision focused on reliable, efficient operations within a safe and sustainable environment.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative supports Mawani’s ongoing efforts to improve the Kingdom’s ranking in the maritime connectivity index, increase operational efficiency at King Abdulaziz Port, and enhance the Kingdom’s integration with regional and global markets. The effort aligns with the goals of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which aims to establish Saudi Arabia as a global logistics hub connecting three continents.

The new service will link King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam with the ports of Mundra and Nhava Sheva in India, Sohar in Oman, Jebel Ali in the UAE, and Hamad in Qatar, with a capacity of 2,177 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs).

Mawani’s strategic partnerships with leading global shipping lines continue to play a crucial role in advancing the development of Saudi ports, enhancing their competitiveness, expanding maritime transport routes, and improving logistics and operational services.
