Manga Arabia Signs Licensing Agreement to Publish ‘Grendizer U’ in Arabic

Riyadh: As part of its mission to deliver compelling content that resonates with manga enthusiasts across the Arab world, Manga Arabia, a subsidiary of the Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG), has signed a licensing agreement with leading Japanese manga publisher HERO’S Inc.

According to Saudi Press Agency, through this collaboration, Manga Arabia will license, translate, and publish several prominent Japanese manga titles in Arabic. The agreement includes the rights to Akari, Gin no Kun, and the renowned Grendizer U, a remake of the iconic series created by renowned Japanese artist Go Nagai.

Originally serialized from October 1975 to May 1976, the classic Grendizer series has achieved widespread popularity across the Arab World, and the official Arabic release of Grendizer U marks a significant milestone for long-time fans of this title.

This partnership is an extension of Manga Arabia’s commitment to building strategic relationships with leading international players in the manga industry. The company continues to expand its reach both regionally and globally through its publications Manga Arabia Youth and Manga Arabia Kids, available in both digital and print formats. To date, the company’s applications have surpassed 12 million downloads in over 195 countries, and its monthly print distribution exceeds 250,000 copies across the Arab world.

As part of its international expansion efforts, Manga Arabia has launched Manga International, headquartered in Tokyo, marking a strategic move to enhance its presence in key global markets.
