Makkah Environment Office Intensifies Inspections to Curb Unauthorized Slaughter Ahead of Hajj 1447 AH

Makkah: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture office in Makkah Region conducted a proactive field inspection campaign as part of the efforts of the Unauthorized Slaughter Control Committee, in cooperation with Makkah Municipality, the General Administration of Mujahideen, and the National Company for Agricultural Services.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the campaign is part of the early preparations for the 1447 AH Hajj season and aims to enhance public health safety and reduce visual pollution in Makkah.

The joint field efforts resulted in the detection of several violating sites and the confiscation of sheep and camels prepared for slaughter outside officially approved slaughterhouses.

Legal penalties were also imposed on violators in accordance with the applicable regulations and instructions.
