Makkah: The National Water Efficiency and Conservation Center (MAEE) has launched an awareness campaign during the Hajj season 1445 A.H. This campaign is part of the "Rationalizing Water Consumption in Makkah, the Holy Sites, and Madinah" initiative, which aims to raise awareness about the importance of conserving water. MAEE is working in collaboration with the water sector in the Kingdom to provide the best services to pilgrims. During this Hajj season, MAEE is implementing a multilingual awareness campaign targeting pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors through various media channels. The center is also distributing informative brochures that emphasize the significance of water conservation based on Islamic principles. The campaign promotes the responsibility of conserving water, emphasizes its impact on sustainability, and involves partnerships with public, non-profit sectors, as well as Hajj service providers and organizers from outside the Kingdom. MAEE is committed to implementing best practices f or enhancing the efficiency of the water supply chain, promoting responsible water usage for urban, industrial, and agricultural purposes, and fostering collaboration between governmental and non-governmental bodies in water efficiency and conservation efforts.
