Madinah Red Crescent: Over 4,000 Emergency Responses in First Week of Ramadan

Madinah: The Saudi Red Crescent Authority’s Madinah branch managed a significant volume of emergency calls during the first week of Ramadan 1446 AH, handling 13,475 calls and dispatching ambulance teams to 4,009 of these incidents.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the response efforts included on-site medical treatment for 2,246 individuals, while 1,213 patients required transportation to medical facilities for further care. The authority’s operations were bolstered by the participation of over 2,000 volunteers who amassed a total of 12,291 service hours at key religious sites, including the Prophet’s Mosque and Quba Mosque.

Emergency assistance requests can be made through the 997 hotline and the “Asefne” app, providing essential support during the holy month.
