Riyadh: The Madinah Regional Municipality has launched Al Madinah Guideline for Lighting to develop the urban landscape, enhance architectural identity, and elevate the quality of the urban environment through a unified lighting design framework that balances aesthetic, functional, and sustainability requirements.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the guide aims to unify lighting standards across the city, enhance nightscapes, rationalize energy use, reduce light pollution, and create a safer, more comfortable urban environment for residents and visitors.

Targeting real estate developers, engineering firms, contractors, and property owners, the guide serves as an advisory reference detailing design principles and technical lighting standards that integrate with Madinah's architectural character.
