Madinah Development Authority Prepares Over 19,000 Square Meters of Pedestrian Walkways for Pilgrims

Madinah: Al Madinah Region Development Authority announced the preparation and equipping of integrated pedestrian walkways in the central area, covering a total area exceeding 19,000 square meters. The initiative is part of the authority's efforts to enhance the quality of services provided to pilgrims, improve mobility, and raise levels of comfort and safety around the Prophet's Mosque.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the project aims to enhance services for pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet's Mosque by facilitating movement in a comfortable, tranquil environment. The work included the construction of fully equipped pedestrian walkways and accessible sidewalks, connected to a road network built with high-quality materials. This contributes to enhancing sustainability and increasing operational efficiency during the Hajj season.

The project is part of ongoing efforts to develop infrastructure and services in Madinah and to provide greater convenience and accessibility for pilgrims and visitors during their stay.
