According to Saudi Press Agency, this bustling hub embodies the continuation of Madinah’s long-standing commercial heritage, a tradition that dates back to the time of Prophet Muhammad. Historically, Madinah has been a thriving commercial center, hosting numerous renowned markets that served residents, pilgrims, and Umrah performers, offering a variety of goods including textiles, gold, and dates.

Spanning over 160,000 square meters, the market is designed to meet the growing needs of the city and its visitors. It houses over 1,100 shops, along with loading and storage yards for agricultural products, cold storage facilities, and extensive areas for displaying local and imported fruits and vegetables.

The market also features a dedicated parking area for refrigerated trucks, facilitating the efficient handling, refrigeration, and display of fresh produce.
