Libya’s Government of National Unity Condemns Houthi Militia Attacks on Saudi Cities

Riyadh: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Libya's Government of National Unity condemned the Houthi militia's attacks on a number of cities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Houthi militia's attacks on several areas in Saudi Arabia targeting civilian and economic facilities, which resulted in the injury of 73 civilians, including women and children.

The ministry renewed Libya's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures it takes to protect its territory, the safety of its citizens and residents, and the preservation of its assets.

The ministry affirmed its categorical rejection of all forms of violence, noting that targeting civilian facilities and endangering civilian lives constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, and represents a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of Saudi Arabia.

The ministry renewed its support for international efforts to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.
