So paulo: The 38th International Conference of Latin American and Caribbean Muslims, organized by the Islamic Dawah Center in Latin America and the Caribbean under the theme ‘Muslim Youth in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Prospects and Challenges,’ concluded yesterday in So Paulo, Brazil.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the conference brought together official delegations, researchers, and specialists from around the world, underscoring the importance of clarifying concepts related to youth and artificial intelligence. The discussions focused on outlining the various types of AI and highlighting its role in the modern era.

Participants emphasized the need to integrate AI into both religious and general education by developing curricula that incorporate analytical and information-processing skills. They highlighted the use of AI to support religious education through advanced electronic tools for teaching the Holy Quran, the Sunnah, and the Arabic language.

Furthermore, the conference called for support for scientific research in AI and backing contemporary jurisprudential efforts on technological issues. Participants also advocated for establishing an Islamic ethical framework for the responsible use of AI that preserves core values. They stressed the importance of combating misleading content and digital forgery by developing tools capable of detecting deceptive material.
