Makkah: The Royal Saudi Land Forces (RSLF), through their Military Police unit, are playing a crucial role in providing security support to the Ministry of Interior during the Hajj season. Their involvement is pivotal in maintaining order and implementing preventive measures to ensure the safety of pilgrims.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Military Police collaborate closely with the Ministry of Interior to manage the flow of pilgrims traveling from Mina to the Grand Mosque. This coordination is essential for ensuring smooth traffic and effective crowd management during one of the most critical times of the Hajj season.

The RSLF’s commitment extends further with the deployment of their Anti-Weapons of Mass Destruction Defense Force. This specialized team is tasked with supporting the Civil Defense Forces in reconnaissance operations, identifying hazardous materials, and conducting decontamination processes for radioactive and chemical threats using state-of-the-art equipment.

These strategic operations are concentrated on land ports and key areas within the holy sites, aiming to enhance public safety and reduce potential risks to the pilgrims’ well-being during their sacred journey.
