KSrelief’s Volunteer Medical Team in Kenya Performs 28 Cochlear Implant Surgeries for Children

Nairobi: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center’s (KSrelief) volunteer medical team successfully performed 28 cochlear implant surgeries for children in the Republic of Kenya on Saturday.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative not only provided surgical interventions but also included speech and language rehabilitation services for the children. Additionally, 28 educational sessions were organized for the families of the children, benefiting a total of 50 individuals.

This effort is part of the Saudi Sama’a Volunteer Program, which focuses on cochlear implantation and auditory rehabilitation for Kenyan and Somali children in Kenya. The program saw the participation of 20 volunteers from various medical specialties, working collaboratively to enhance the quality of life for the young patients.
