Ilorin: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has signed a joint agreement to support orphans in Ilorin, Nigeria. This initiative aims to provide comprehensive assistance to orphans from vulnerable families, ensuring they receive the necessary care and support to thrive.

According to Saudi Press Agency, under the agreement, 800 orphans aged 2-18 will be enrolled in orphanages. These institutions, working in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development in Kwara State, will offer essential services such as housing, food, healthcare, and education. This comprehensive approach aims to create a nurturing environment for the orphans, addressing their immediate needs and ensuring their long-term well-being.

In addition to these services, the agreement includes a specific focus on older orphans. Approximately 150 orphans between the ages of 15 and 18 will receive training in various craft trades. This vocational training is designed to equip them with pract
ical skills, enabling them to earn a living and become self-sufficient as they transition into adulthood. This aspect of the agreement highlights the commitment to not only provide care but also empower the orphans with opportunities for future independence and success.
