KSrelief Signs Agreement to Run Prosthetic and Rehabilitation Center in Marib, Yemen.

Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) and the International Wars and Disasters Victims’ Protection Association (IRVD) have signed a cooperation agreement to establish a prosthetic and rehabilitation center in Marib Governorate, Yemen.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreement was inked during the International Conference on Conjoined Twins held in Riyadh. The Assistant Supervisor General of Operations and Programs at KSrelief, Eng. Ahmed Al Baiz, and the Executive Director of the IRVD, Dr. Muawiya Harsouni, formalized the collaboration aimed at providing essential rehabilitation services.

This partnership will deliver physical rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities, emphasizing their integration into society. The initiative includes personalized treatment plans, the provision of various prosthetic limbs, occupational rehabilitation services, ongoing follow-up care, and the enhancement of skills among medical and technical staff to manage specialized cas
es. The project seeks to address the emigration of specialized personnel and is projected to benefit 7,174 individuals.

This effort is a continuation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian initiatives, spearheaded by KSrelief, to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni population amidst the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
