Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief): represented by Advisor to the Center’s General Supervisor and Director of the Partnerships and International Relations Department Dr. Hana Omar, participated yesterday in a video lecture for students of the Postgraduate Diploma in Peaceful Coexistence program at the United Nations University for Peace in Geneva.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the lecture, titled ‘Contemporary Challenges of Pluralism and Humanitarian Action,’ was attended by more than 100 students from 65 countries, as well as members of the diplomatic corps and civil society organizations. During the session, Dr. Omar reviewed the Kingdom’s humanitarian and relief efforts through KSrelief, highlighting the center’s contributions to promoting stability and peace by meeting humanitarian needs and building better futures for crisis- and disaster-affected communities.
Dr. Omar also addressed the key global challenges facing humanitarian work and showcased the center’s pioneering initiatives and projects aimed at improving the quality of life in vulnerable communities. These include programs supporting refugees and displaced persons, promoting education and healthcare, empowering women and youth economically, and fostering social cohesion.
The session saw active participation from students, who praised KSrelief’s leading global role in delivering humanitarian aid and contributing to the creation of stable, resilient, and prosperous societies.
