Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed a cooperation agreement on Tuesday, via videoconference, with a civil society organization to implement the fourth phase of the kidney dialysis center project in Al-Ghaydah District, Al-Mahrah Governorate, benefiting 820 individuals.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreement was signed at the center's headquarters in Riyadh by Assistant Supervisor-General for Operations and Programs Eng. Ahmed Al-Baiz. Under the agreement, a comprehensive center for treating kidney failure patients through hemodialysis will be established in Al-Ghaydah District. The center will provide services to 430 patients per month, with an average of 5,160 regular dialysis sessions and 20 emergency sessions.

The project aims to provide specialized healthcare services to kidney failure patients, preserve lives, improve the quality of care, localize treatment, support health sector infrastructure, and ensure that patients receive the necessary care free of charge. This initiative comes as part of the Kingdom's relief and humanitarian projects implemented through KSrelief to support the Yemeni people amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis and to provide appropriate treatment for the sick and injured across Yemen.
