Marib: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) yesterday inaugurated a sewage treatment plant and delivered six garbage transport trucks to the Yemeni side in Marib Governorate. The initiative marks a significant step towards enhancing the region’s environmental infrastructure.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the sewage treatment plant includes 10 sedimentation tanks, a dedicated operation and control room, and an agricultural nursery. Additionally, the delivery of vehicles comprises three dewatering trucks with a capacity of 12 cubic meters each for liquid waste and three compactor trucks with a capacity of eight cubic meters each for solid waste.
Deputy Governor of Marib, Dr. Abdrabuh Miftah, praised the project, emphasizing its potential to enhance environmental health, combat disease, and prevent groundwater pollution. This initiative is part of the broader humanitarian and relief efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, aiming to establish an integrated and sustainable sewage network that improves the living and environmental conditions for both displaced and host communities in Yemen.
