Riyadh: In cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), launched a project to support the continuity of educational services and the recovery of the education sector in Yemen.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the project includes the rehabilitation and expansion of 12 schools in the governorates of Aden, Lahj, and Taiz. This encompasses the construction of 44 classrooms and the rehabilitation of 120 classrooms and 10 laboratories. Additionally, several educational and service facilities will be established and rehabilitated.
KSrelief will also equip eight schools with solar power systems and provide educational and administrative equipment to these institutions.
The project is set to benefit 18,000 male and female students across the targeted regions. Dr. Eng. Omar Basaleem, the head of the technical office at Yemen's Ministry of Education, praised the initiative, affirming its role in supporting and rehabilitating public schools and enhancing the stability of the educational process in Yemen.
