Brussels: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), represented by Advisor to the Supervisor General and Director of Partnerships and International Relations Dr. Hana Omar, participated in the Seventh Senior Officials Meeting (SOM VII) on the humanitarian situation in Yemen. The meeting was held in Brussels, organized by the European Commission and the Swedish Government.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Hana stressed the importance of adhering to international law, safeguarding humanitarian workers, and ensuring the collection of accurate data. This, she explained, is essential to facilitate equitable aid distribution and to prevent the politicization or misuse of relief efforts.
Dr. Hana also underscored the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s long-term commitment to supporting Yemen, with contributions exceeding $27 billion over the years. She pointed out that KSrelief has executed humanitarian initiatives worth more than $4 billion, covering all humanitarian sectors, and has launched several volunteer programs to further aid efforts.
