Geneva: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), represented by Advisor to the KSrelief Supervisor-General and Director of Partnerships and International Relations Department Hana Omar, participated in the opening session of the second high-level officials’ meeting to review progress achieved in the Global Refugee Forum.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting commenced today in Geneva, Switzerland, and is scheduled to continue from December 15-17. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) organized the event, chaired by UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi and Swiss Minister of Foreign Affairs Ignazio Cassis. It involves representatives from various states, UN leaders, development organizations, and business leaders.

KSrelief’s involvement underscores its dedication to supporting refugees and internally displaced persons. The center focuses on alleviating suffering, enhancing living conditions, and providing substantial contributions to host countries and communities globally.

This meeting occurs at the midpoint between two Global Refugee Forums. The initial forum took place in Geneva in 2019, followed by the second in 2023, with the next scheduled for 2027. The meeting’s objectives are to evaluate the implementation of past commitments, enhance support for refugees and host nations, identify areas needing further assistance, and assess challenges, successes, and future opportunities.
