Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed 2,513 food baskets on Thursday to the most vulnerable and displaced families in Kosti locality in Sudan's White Nile State, benefiting 18,678 individuals, as part of the Madad Project in Sudan for 2026. This is part of Saudi Arabia's relief and humanitarian efforts, provided through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Sudanese people amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this initiative is a testament to Saudi Arabia's commitment to providing necessary aid and support to those in need in Sudan. The distribution of food baskets is aimed at addressing the immediate nutritional needs of displaced families in the region, which has been significantly impacted by ongoing conflicts and displacement challenges.

The Madad Project, under which this distribution falls, is a strategic effort by KSrelief to continuously support the Sudanese population through various relief activities set to continue until 2026.
