Gaza city: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched immediate field relief operations to support displaced families residing in camps in the southern Gaza Strip, following a recent storm that caused significant damage to their tents and personal belongings. These efforts are being executed in collaboration with the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage, which serves as the implementing partner.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the assistance provided by KSrelief is focused on enhancing emergency response measures. This includes stabilizing damaged tents to prevent flooding, supplying replacement shelters for affected families, and addressing the issue of water accumulation inside the camps. KSrelief teams are actively engaged in field monitoring to identify and prioritize aid for the most vulnerable groups, including women, children, and the elderly, to ensure their safety and well-being amid ongoing displacement and challenging conditions.
Displaced families in the Gaza Strip have expressed that the aid from the Kingdom, facilitated through KSrelief, has been an essential lifeline during these trying times. They conveyed their gratitude for the support, highlighting that it has alleviated the burden of displacement and offered protection against severe weather conditions. Beneficiaries also noted that these efforts have restored a sense of security and hope, particularly among mothers and children, despite the difficult circumstances they continue to endure.
This intervention is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s continuous humanitarian initiatives, represented by KSrelief, aimed at supporting the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. The initiatives focus on providing crucial assistance, mitigating the impact of adverse weather, and enhancing community resilience in the face of increasing humanitarian needs.
