KSrelief Delivers 3,020 Food Baskets to Flood-Affected Families in Pakistan

Islamabad: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed 3,020 food baskets Monday to the most vulnerable families affected by floods in various provinces in Pakistan. This effort is aimed at alleviating food shortages faced by these communities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, a total of 22,375 individuals benefited from this initiative, which is part of the ‘Etaam’ Ramadan Food Basket Distribution Project in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for the year 1446 AH. The distribution is a segment of a larger project designed to provide relief during the month of Ramadan.

The fourth phase of the “Etaam” project is set to distribute 390,109 food baskets across 27 countries during Ramadan, with the total number of beneficiaries expected to reach 2,304,104. The project’s budget exceeds SAR67.064 million, highlighting the scale and commitment of the relief efforts.

These activities are part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to enhance food security in Pakistan amid ongoing challenges. The focus remains on reaching the most vulnerable populations and providing necessary support to those in need.
