KSrelief Completes Market Rehabilitation Project in Al-Mukalla

Al-mukalla: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully completed the rehabilitation of the central fish, vegetable, and fruit market building in Al-Mukalla, Hadhramaut Governorate. This effort is part of a broader sustainable agriculture and fisheries empowerment project aimed at enhancing resilience in the Republic of Yemen.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the project involved a comprehensive renovation that included upgrading the market's facades, rehabilitating 22 fish-selling outlets and 17 vegetable and fruit outlets. Additionally, the project modernized water and sewage networks, overhauled electrical systems, and equipped administrative offices with advanced infrastructure. The initiative's primary objective is to support local fishermen and farmers by ensuring high-quality products reach consumers and enhancing agricultural and fish production. This is achieved through the development of value chains and improved market access.

This rehabilitation effort is part of the humanitarian and development projects undertaken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, executed through KSrelief. It aims to support livelihoods and improve essential services across various Yemeni governorates.
