KSGAAL to Organize 2025 Annual International Conference in October

Riyadh: The King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language (KSGAAL) has announced that it is scheduled to organize its fourth annual international conference in the first half of October 2025 over two days in Riyadh. The event will be held under the patronage of Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Academy’s Board of Trustees Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan. The conference will be titled “Global Lexicographical Industry: Experiences, Efforts, and Prospect”.

According to Saudi Press Agency, KSGAAL Secretary-General Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Washmi emphasized that organizing the conference is a complementary step to enhance cooperation between the academy and linguistic bodies and experts, linguists, and specialists. He added that the conference aims to review successful experiences in lexicography and highlight ways to develop the field using modern technologies and artificial intelligence.

Al-Washmi explained that the conference aligns with the academy’s commitment to supporting this field by exploring technological solutions and addressing the challenges facing the lexicographical industry, contributing to the development of dictionaries, enhancing their global presence, and solidifying the Kingdom’s leadership role in serving the Arabic language.
