KSAU-HS Wins Three Medals, WIPO Award at Geneva Exhibition of Inventions

Riyadh: In the first time for a Saudi institution, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) was awarded special recognition by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). KSAU-HS also won two gold medals and one silver medal for its research presentations at the 49th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions. The exhibition is considered one of the largest gatherings of international inventors. Scientific and research teams representing various countries presented more than 1,000 inventions and products. The recognition highlights the excellence of KSAU-HS researchers and confirms their local and international reputations. The first gold medal was awarded to KSAU-HS for its "Microneedle Balloon Catheter" project. The second gold medal was received for its "Low-Cost 3D-Printed Tool with Multiaxial/Angular Vessel Orientation for Microvascular Anastomosis Training" invention. The third medal, a silver, was awarded for its "Hospital Healthcare Provider Monitoring and Veri fying Device and System for Patient Care Condition" project. Source: Saudi Press Agency
