Riyadh: The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Egypt marked World Arabic Language Day on Wednesday, in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Saleh Al-Husseini, Arab ambassadors, a number of university presidents, intellectuals, Egyptian media figures, and embassy staff.
According to Saudi Press Agency, in a speech delivered on the occasion, Ambassador Al-Husseini said that the Kingdom has translated its pride in the Arabic language into a sustainable and institutionalized framework of action. He noted that under Saudi Vision 2030, the wise leadership of the Kingdom has achieved a major qualitative shift through the establishment of the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL), which has become a leading international reference serving the Arabic language in more than 60 countries.
The ambassador also pointed to the launch of digital platforms serving speakers of more than 20 languages, as well as initiatives honoring individuals, institutions, and initiatives that support the Arab
ic language and its sciences locally and internationally. He affirmed that these efforts demonstrate that Arabic-thanks to the Kingdom’s dedicated efforts-has moved beyond the stage of documentation and preservation to that of empowerment and development.
The ceremony featured a dedicated Arabic calligraphy corner and visual presentations showcasing the aesthetics of the Arabic language.
