Riyadh: The Saudi Billiards and Snooker Federation launched the Kingdom Billiards and Snooker Championship 2026 in Riyadh, with the participation of elite male and female players from across Saudi Arabia, running through Friday, September 25. According to Saudi Press Agency, billiards competitions will be held from September 18 to 25 at Localizer Mall in Riyadh, while snooker competitions will take place from October 2 to 10 at Ronnie's Academy in Boulevard City. Billiards events include 9-ball for men, women, and youth categories, and 10-ball for men, while snooker competitions form a key competitive stage in the championship program. Total prize money exceeds SAR650,000, reflecting the championship's importance in the federation's calendar and its role in supporting players and youth and raising the standard of local competitions. Chairman of the Saudi Billiards and Snooker Federation Board of Directors Naif Al-Jaweini said the championship represents an important milestone for developing players' perfor mance, enhancing ranking values, and giving talented players the opportunity to prove their abilities in high-level national competitions. The championship also serves as a key stage in the selection process for the Saudi billiards and snooker national team, with the federation relying on the overall ranking as the primary reference for player selection.
