Makkah: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance launched the preliminary rounds of the 27th edition of the Local Competition for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Award for the Holy Quran Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation for male and female participants. The competition is taking place in Makkah in the year 1447 AH.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the first day of the preliminary rounds witnessed strong student participation, highlighting a high level of proficiency and fair competition among the contestants. The event was organized meticulously, ensuring comprehensive supervision to create a positive and motivating atmosphere for all participants. This reflects the ministry's dedication to providing a fair and encouraging competitive environment.

The preliminary rounds are being conducted across various regions of the Kingdom from Jumada Al Oula 25 to Rajab 25. These rounds are supervised by the ministry's branches, adhering to strict regulations and standards to ensure integrity and transparency throughout the competition.

The final rounds are scheduled to take place in Riyadh from Shaaban 24 to 29, where the winners will be selected.
