Riyadh: King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve: The King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority highlighted continued successes in its development and environmental programs, marking a significant step forward in efforts to restore and develop biodiversity across the reserve.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the latest data issued by the authority revealed that 1,646 wild animals had been released into the reserve as of December 2026. This reflects its commitment to restoring ecological balance and reviving the Kingdom's natural heritage in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

The environmental reintroduction efforts included some of the most prominent and rare native wildlife species, including the Arabian gazelle, Nubian ibex, Arabian oryx, houbara bustard, and sand gazelle. These efforts form part of comprehensive strategic plans adopted by the reserve to provide a safe and sustainable environment that supports the reproduction of endangered wildlife and restores wildlife to its pristine state in the region's largest nature reserve.
