Dakar: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has approved the organization of the second Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Competition for Memorizing the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah in Africa, to be held in Senegal from 6 to 11 Dhu Al-Qadah 1447 AH. The event will see participation from 100 contestants representing 53 African countries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the competition is organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the religious attach© at the Saudi Embassy in Senegal, in collaboration with the General Authority for Awqaf. The initiative aims to promote care for the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah, encouraging their memorization and reflection among Muslim youth across the African continent, and instilling sound Islamic values in participants.
The competition seeks to foster a spirit of constructive competition in good deeds, contribute to building a generation committed to moderate Islamic principles, highlight the Kingdom's role in serving Islam and Muslims, support memorizers of the Holy Quran and Sunnah, and strengthen bonds of brotherhood among Islamic nations.
