King Faisal University Tops 2024 National Academy of Inventors Ranking

Riyadh: King Faisal University (KFU) has reached a significant global milestone, ranking first among the top 100 universities worldwide in the 2024 National Academy of Inventors (NAI) ranking. With an impressive 631 patents granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), KFU continues to solidify its position as a leading institution in research and innovation.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this achievement aligns with KFU’s institutional identity, which prioritizes food security and environmental sustainability, and reinforces Saudi Arabia 2030 by fostering a knowledge-based economy, investing in talent and intellectual capital, and strengthening the national innovation ecosystem as a key driver of sustainable development.

KFU President Prof. Adel bin Mohammed Abu Zinadah expressed his gratitude to the Saudi leadership for its unwavering support of education, research, and innovation. He emphasized that this national achievement underscores KFU’s commitment to becoming a hub for inventors and innovators, leveraging its human capital, advanced infrastructure, and cutting-edge technology to drive the future of research and development.

Moreover, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Prof. Abdulrahman bin Issa Al-Laili highlighted KFU’s ongoing efforts to empower faculty and students to transform their innovative ideas into impactful, real-world applications. He noted that KFU fosters a dynamic academic environment, enriched by research incubators and innovation support programs.
