King Abdulaziz Camel Festival Highlights Qassim’s International Date Route Project

Qassim region: The Qassim Region pavilion at the Security Oasis exhibition during the 10th King Abdulaziz Camel Festival showcased the International Date Route project, reflecting the region’s economic and cultural identity while enhancing its role in agriculture and tourism.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this pioneering project-the first of its kind globally-integrates economic, cultural, and tourism aspects, connecting the Kingdom’s date production with the Silk Road to facilitate international trade and expand marketing opportunities for Saudi dates. The presentation showcased Qassim’s agricultural strengths, including over 11 million palm trees and 100 date varieties, positioning the region as a leader in economic initiatives and fostering innovation among young leaders, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

The pavilion drew significant interest from visitors, who explored the project’s economic benefits, including its support for agricultural supply chains and enhanced value of national date products, thereby contributing to economic diversification.
