Kazan: The Russian Republic of Tatarstan is calling for a fifth global summit open to young people, with the participation of international experts. The 5th Kazan World Youth Summit, taking place from August 26 to 30, is inviting a diverse audience to participate in a series of open sessions, including students, young leaders, and individuals interested in global education trends.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the summit is expected to bring together around 250 participants from over 40 countries. These include representatives from ministries, international organizations, and universities, along with young leaders and experts. The program aims to foster a comprehensive dialogue framework under the slogan: Education in an era of global change: Human capital for sustainable development.
The event will feature its first open sessions on August 28, focusing on communication as a critical future competency. Discussions will address effective idea conveyance amidst rapid global transformations and highlight the significance of communication skills in the age of digitalization and artificial intelligence. The sessions aim to underscore the role of these skills in promoting international cooperation and dialogue.
An international panel discussion titled Education in an Era of Global Change: Human Capital for Sustainable Development will follow. Speakers from various countries and sectors will participate, including Ray Kwon Chung, President of the Ban Ki-moon Foundation, South Korea; Safa Al-Rashed, Board Member of the National Academy of Information Technology, Saudi Arabia; and Seda Kasparova, a social media influencer from Russia. The panel will discuss preparing the next generation of professionals, transforming education systems, and reinforcing international cooperation to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
The summit serves as an international platform for exchanging best practices and developing solutions in youth policy, education, culture, and media. It promotes multidisciplinary dialogue through modern participation formats aimed at creating sustainable responses to global challenges.
Organized by the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum, and Kazan Federal University, the summit is held in partnership with various international and regional organizations.
