Riyadh: The King Abdulaziz Center for Cultural Communication (KACCC), in cooperation with the Center for Information and Arab-Russian Studies, organized a symposium on cultural diversity in Saudi Arabia as part of KACCC's participation in the Moscow International Book Fair.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the symposium, moderated by Secretary General of KACCC Dr. Abdullah AlFoazan, featured a number of officials. The event addressed cultural diversity and its impact on strengthening cultural communication and fostering rapprochement between peoples. It emphasized the role of cultural diversity in promoting values of mutual respect and understanding, and highlighted the importance of transforming cultural diversity into a source of enrichment, cooperation, and exchange of knowledge and experiences between societies.

Participants reviewed the features of cultural diversity in Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation, focusing on points of convergence between the two societies. They discussed the role of cultural initiatives and programs in strengthening communication between the two countries, creating common spaces for interaction, and facilitating cultural and intellectual exchange.

The symposium concluded with a discussion on prospects for cultural and academic cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Russia. Opportunities to enhance exchange among young people, researchers, and academic institutions were explored. Additionally, the development of joint initiatives and projects that contribute to expanding areas of cultural cooperation and building sustainable partnerships that enhance communication and understanding between the two countries was emphasized.
