Riyadh: Minister of Justice Walid Al-Samaani affirmed that the institutional judiciary represents an advanced stage in the maturity of the judicial system, contributing to greater judicial efficiency, enhanced quality, and more consistent judgments.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Samaani explained that this approach integrates legislation, procedures, and technological capabilities to deliver clearer, more consistent justice and to improve the predictability of judgments. These advancements have helped reduce litigation time and increase the predictability of judgments by approximately 70%.
Al-Samaani noted that this maturity is evident in the litigation system, with e-litigation services facilitating more than 660,000 remote court sessions and the issuance of more than 255,000 electronic judgments during the first quarter of 2026, reflecting procedural efficiency and accelerated case disposition.
He added that the Case Preparation Center is one of the key enablers of this advancement. Its specialized legal expertise contributed to the completion of more than 380,000 operations in 2025, an increase of 39% over the prior year. This was accomplished through preparing preliminary case studies, processing applications, and supporting judges throughout the litigation process.
The minister further affirmed that the ministry is continuing to develop its judicial system through a comprehensive institutional approach grounded in preventive justice, utilizing artificial intelligence, and integrating roles within the system. The aim is to enhance the reliability of judgments, increase procedural efficiency, and expand access to judicial services, leading to a more flexible and proactive system that keeps pace with societal development and supports its stability.
