Jeddah: The Next Gen ATP Finals presented by the Public Investment Fund commenced yesterday evening at the indoor arena of King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah. The tournament is organized by the Saudi Tennis Federation under the supervision of the Ministry of Sport.
According to Saudi Press Agency, American Nishesh Basavareddy began Red Group play with a crucial victory over Croatia’s Dino Prizmic, securing a three sets to one win. In another Red Group match, Belgian Alexander Blockx defeated Germany’s Justin Engel, also by three sets to one.
In the Blue Group, seventh-seeded Rafael Jodar from Spain faced a challenging match against top-seeded American Learner Tien, ultimately winning three sets to two. Additionally, Norway’s Nicolai Budkov Kjaer triumphed over Spain’s Martin Landaluce, finishing the match with a three sets to one victory.
