Riyadh: Jazan University has strengthened its academic and research presence on the international stage after achieving advanced rankings in the US News and World Report 2026-2027 rankings, one of the most prominent global rankings that assesses universities based on indicators of academic reputation, research performance, quality of scientific output, and international research impact.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the university ranked 688th globally and 207th among Asian universities. This achievement reflects its continuous growth in scientific research, innovation, and academic publishing, as well as its enhanced presence in global scientific databases and expanded research partnerships with academic institutions and research centers within and outside the Kingdom.

The ranking results demonstrated the university's excellence in several scientific disciplines. It ranked 165th globally in Public, Environmental and Occupational Health, 223rd in Mathematics, and 301st in Pharmacy and Toxicology. It also ranked 470th in Engineering, 477th in Materials Science, 486th in Physical Chemistry, 492nd in Clinical Medicine, 550th in Chemistry, 619th in Biology and Biochemistry, 669th in Physics, and 834th in Computer Science.
