Riyadh: King Salman Royal Nature Reserve: The King Salman Royal Nature Reserve is home to an impressive range of native plants, notably the aromatic perennial Jathjath shrub and the vibrant lavender. Jathjath, a member of the Asteraceae family, stands at 70 centimeters tall. It features branches covered in white hairs, ribbon-like leaves, and yellow flowers that contribute to its unique appearance. Lavender, an annual herbaceous plant, reaches a height of 40 centimeters and is characterized by branching stems, serrated leaves, and striking purple flowers.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Reserve Development Authority is actively working to preserve these native species. Their efforts focus on the critical roles these plants play in safeguarding ecosystems, conserving natural resources, and promoting sustainability. These initiatives align with the broader objectives of the Saudi Green campaign, highlighting the importance of plant conservation in achieving environmental goals within the reserve.
