Tokyo: Japanese stocks closed lower today.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Nikkei index fell by 1.02%, or 396.81 points, to close at 38,488.34 points. Meanwhile, the broader TOPIX index decreased by 0.58%, or 16.27 points, to reach 2,792.08 points.
