Japanese Stock Index Declines as Technology Sector Losses Persist

Tokyo: Japanese stock indexes declined at the close of today’s trading, as the selling wave in the technology sector continued.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Nikkei index fell by 1.39%, equivalent to 548.93 points, closing at 39,016.87 points.

The broader Topix index also closed marginally lower, down by 0.04%, or 1.17 points, to reach 2,756.90 points.
