Madinah:The Central Library at the Islamic University of Madinah has completed the digitization of its extensive collection of manuscripts. This collection includes 34,615 microfilmed and 916 original paper manuscripts, some of which date back to the seventh century AH.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the university's digitized collection serves as an invaluable scholarly resource, providing students and researchers access to primary sources of Islamic heritage. This access allows them to consult original handwritten texts for research and critical editions, offering insights into the historical methods used by scholars in writing and transcribing manuscripts.

The university has emphasized that this digitization project is part of its broader efforts to advance digital transformation. It aims to improve the user experience of the Central Library's services, making it easier for users to engage with the library's resources.
