Madinah: The Islamic University of Madinah ranked ninth among Saudi academic institutions and 12th nationally out of all universities, centers, institutes, and research institutions in the Kingdom, according to the Nature Index 2026 rankings.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the university recorded 17 research papers included in the index, with a share of 3.11 in high-quality scientific publications, reflecting the quality of its research output and the diversity of its scientific contributions.
Research from the Islamic University has been published in several prestigious journals, including Nature Communications, Advanced Functional Materials, and Applied Energy, underscoring the university's growing presence in high-impact scientific research and its contributions to advancing knowledge across various fields.
