Riyadh: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the Saudi Religious Attach© in Addis Ababa, has successfully concluded the final rounds of the third edition of the Holy Quran and Sunnah Competition for men and women for the year 2025.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi Religious Attach© in Ethiopia organized a closing ceremony for the local competition, which saw the participation of 361 contestants in the Holy Quran category and 182 contestants in the Sunnah category. The competition aimed to engage participants in religious learning and showcase their proficiency in the Holy Quran and Sunnah.

A total of 24 winners emerged victorious in the Holy Quran competition, and 23 winners were honored in the Sunnah category. The awards ceremony took place on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Addis Ababa. The event was graced by the presence of the Saudi Embassy’s Charg© d’Affaires in Ethiopia, Dr. Salih Almogbil, who presented cash prizes to the winners based on their performance.

The participants and attendees expressed appreciation for the Kingdom’s leadership and its ongoing efforts to support Islam and Muslims globally. The competition underscored the Ministry’s commitment to fostering religious education and promoting the values of the Quran and Sunnah.
