Islamic Affairs Ministry Organizes Sharia Training Program for Imams and Preachers in Ethiopia

Addis ababa: The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, through the Religious Attach© at the Saudi Embassy in Ethiopia, has organized a Sharia training course aimed at qualifying imams, preachers, and missionaries.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the opening ceremony of the program was attended by several scholars, preachers, academics, and local officials. The course encompassed a range of Sharia topics, with a focus on the meaning and virtues of the word of monotheism, an explanation of the Four Rules and the Six Principles, and the importance of adhering to the Sunnah and pursuing Islamic knowledge. Additionally, it emphasized calling to Allah Almighty with wisdom and good exhortation.

The program represents an effort by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs to promote moderation and reinforce the approach of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah, which is based on the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him). It also aims to highlight the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s leading role in serving Islam and Muslims and addressing their needs globally.
