Islamic Affairs Ministry Hotline Receives Over 200,000 Pilgrim Inquiries Since Start of Hajj Season

Riyadh: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the General Secretariat for Islamic Awareness in Hajj, Umrah, and Visitation, has received more than 200,000 calls through its unified free hotline (8002451000) since the start of the Hajj season through Dhu Al-Hijjah 7, 1447 AH. More than 200 qualified preachers and 30 interpreters staff the free hotline, providing round-the-clock services in 14 languages to respond to pilgrims' religious inquiries related to performing Hajj rituals.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the free hotline is among the most prominent awareness services provided by the ministry and enables pilgrims to communicate directly with preachers and specialists, providing prompt religious guidance and enhancing religious awareness as they perform their rituals.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs stated that it aims to reach more than one million beneficiaries through its free hotline service. The objective reflects the ministry's ongoing expansion of awareness programs and the heightened preparedness of preacher and translator teams to serve the increasing number of pilgrims arriving from around the world.
