Islamic Affairs Ministry Hosts Farewell Event for Departing Sri Lankan Pilgrims

Colombo: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance held a farewell ceremony for pilgrims participating in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit for the year 1446 AH. The event took place at the headquarters of the Kingdom’s embassy in Sri Lanka, in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Sri Lanka Khalid bin Hamoud Al-Kahtani, along with several officials and distinguished guests.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ambassador expressed appreciation to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their generous care and dedicated attention to pilgrims from around the world, including those from Sri Lanka selected for this year’s program.

The Sri Lankan pilgrims expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Saudi leadership, praising the Kingdom’s continued efforts and steadfast commitment to ensuring the comfort and well-being of all pilgrims.
