Islamic Affairs Ministry Distributes Dates in Japan and Switzerland for Ramadan

Tokyo: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance delivered the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' gift of dates to Japan and Switzerland in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan.

According to Saudi Press Agency, in Japan, the presentation took place today at the Saudi embassy in Tokyo. The allocated gift consists of three tons of dates, which is expected to benefit approximately 12,000 individuals.

In Switzerland, the gift was delivered yesterday at the Islamic Cultural Center in Geneva. The distribution includes five tons of dates, designated to benefit 20,000 people from the local Muslim minority community.

These distributions are part of a broader global effort by the ministry, which is currently implementing the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' program to distribute dates across 120 countries. Additionally, the ministry is overseeing a program to provide Iftar meals to fasting Muslims in 70 countries.

The initiatives underscore the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's steadfast commitment to serving Muslims worldwide and reinforcing the profound values of solidarity, cooperation, and brotherhood during the blessed month of Ramadan.
