Makkah: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance has been actively providing informational services to Umrah performers and worshippers throughout the month of Ramadan. By the 20th day of this sacred period, the ministry, through the General Secretariat for Islamic Awareness in Hajj, Umrah, and Visitation, has distributed a total of 250,260 books and leaflets. These materials include various guiding publications in multiple languages, as well as cards for accessing the Islamic e-library.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the distribution efforts have been concentrated in key locations such as the Al-Taneem and Al-Ji’ranah mosques, prayer areas adjacent to the Grand Mosque, and Mount Arafat. In addition to these physical distributions, the Islamic e-library has been activated to enhance accessibility to religious knowledge. This e-library features a comprehensive list of scholarly books and guiding materials curated by the ministry, offering over 3,000 religious materials and 320 digital books. Visitors can conveniently download these scholarly materials directly to their mobile phones through an advanced electronic system, ensuring that awareness and guidance services are readily available through modern technology.
